Connection, on your terms.

Connection, on your terms.

Understand the controls available in Idlebay, how to report a concern, and what happens when you block someone.

Your privacy controls

Open Safety → Contact & privacy in Idlebay. Choose who can send friend requests, call you, invite you to private groups, and see your activity and presence.

  • Friend requests: shared communities, anyone who knows your username, or nobody.
  • Direct calls: accepted friends or nobody.
  • Private-group invitations: friends who ask first, or nobody.
  • Activity and presence: friends, everyone, or nobody.

Save your settings when you’re done. Private messages require an accepted friendship.

Decide who gets close

Open Safety → Requests to review incoming friend requests and private-group invitations. Accept a connection when you’re ready, decline it, or block the sender.

An invitation does not automatically put you in a private group. You choose whether to join.

When you block someone

Block an account from its profile or a request. Blocking removes the friendship, cancels pending invitations and ends your current voice connection. You cannot enter a voice room together while blocked.

Blocking does not remove your past posts from shared communities. Unblocking does not restore the friendship; reconnecting requires a new accepted friend request.

Manage your list in Safety → Blocked accounts.

Report a safety concern

01

Choose Report

Use Report on a message or profile. You can report the current community from Your reports.

02

Explain the concern

Select a reason, add relevant details, and review before submitting.

03

Check its status

Open Safety → Your reports to follow the status of your submission.

The report includes your description and the selected message text, profile bio or community name. The reported person is not shown who submitted it.

Do not upload or forward abusive imagery as evidence. Use the report attached to the relevant content.

What to expect

Reports need human review. Staff can review concerns, resolve reports, and remove reported messages where appropriate. Child-safety and threat categories are prioritized in the report queue.

There is no promised response time. Reporting and blocking are separate actions; you can use both.

Idlebay reports are not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Know the limits

These controls reduce unwanted contact, but no app can guarantee every interaction is safe. The current release does not add age verification or automated content screening.

Keep passwords, recovery codes and personal information private. Be cautious about links, unexpected downloads and requests for money.
